I have been asked to address the question 'Is Everyone an Author?'. From my thoughts I have gathered that, yes everyone is an author. As technology has developed over the years communication has changed dramatically. From these changes in technology it has altered the ways in which an article, statistic, or opinion can be viewed. With the press of a button literally anyone can view what you post on the internet, through the internet people have become authors to the globe. As the Introduction said "We now live not only in a city, a state, and a country but in a global community as well - and we write, intentionally or not, to speakers of many languages, to members of many cultures, to believers of many creeds." this quote perfectly describes how the world of writing has evolved. Some people are authors who give speeches to address large scale issues, some people are authors of articles on the internet of organic foods, and then there are some people who are authors of group text messages. There is definitely a difference in audiences for every author but all of them create an idea for others to read and that all it takes. If communication had not evolved then my stance on the question would be completely different, if we did not have the privileges of the internet than no, not everyone would be an author.
