Questions PG. 175

 1. Heather Hravirlesky's main point is about the ever evolving American Dream. She specifically points it out on PG. 170 Second Paragraph and states that the "American Dream and expanded into something far broader.". Also on PG. 174 she states that the American Dream has turned into  people wanting to be heroes, "have beautiful wives, live in style among adorable, adoring children.

2. She first starts off her essay with a cutting sentence that makes the reader think. "Americans are constantly in search of an upgrade.". Throughout her essay she relates her topic to the TV Shoe Mad Men,  she continues to display thorough knowledge of the show and relates it to real scenarios.

3. I think that the 4th paragraph on page 172 she appeals to the readers emotions. she compares a woman to a stereotype and does an excellent job.

4. I have never heard of nor see the show Mad Men, but now with Mrs. Hravirlesky's excellent summary of the show she helps me understand what it is basically about in its simplest form. And yes she does make me want to see the show now.

5. The question that guides her is 'is the American Dream' evolving or not. She offers insight on the show Mad Men and relates it to what the American Dream used to be and how the show depicts it now. She uses specific examples from the t.v. show to support her conclusions.
