Summary on Rubin's Article
Rubin's article about the Coca-Cola Ad really gives the reader a great understanding of how thoroughly people can analyze an ad. I used to just look at an ad and be like 'eh that's okay.' or 'eh that looks really good.' But now after reading how she goes into every single detail of the image and how the smallest detail can have a huge impact on the entire image and what its trying to say. She gives us amazing analyses of the Coca-Cola Ad, she tell us everything from how the Ad comes across to the reader than later explaining what the Ad said about the time period. She tells us about racial issues and how Americans used ads to help encourage people to become the perfect American. The way she talks about how every person in the Ad contributed greatly to the image really opened my eyes and made me want to analyze Ads more entirely instead of just gazing over it.
