List of Writing in the past week.
1. Resume.
In the beginning of this week I applied for a job at Roasting Studio. The purpose of the resume was to provide them with a very simple fact sheet about me. All of the points I made on the resume were clear and concise, they all were related to significant job experience I have had in the past. This provided the employer with a brief summary of me and my skills. The resume was very informative, gave the audience the general idea about me. My constraints were that I couldn't put information that was totally irrelevant to the job.
2. Cover Letter.
For the same Job I had to write a Cover Letter. The cover letter had certain topics that I had to go over in the Letter. For example, some of the questions were 'Why does this position appeal to you?', "What is your experience in the industry?', 'What about baking speaks to you?', 'What would you be able to bring us that maybe some of the other employees cannot?'. The purpose of the Cover Letter was a more formal version of the resume, but it speaks from a more personal point of view. All my answers were considering my audience(would be superiors) and at the same time captured everything about me that they needed to know. Since I had to express myself through this Letter my tone was very up beat and enthusiastic.
3. Texting.
Throughout the week I text my friends sometimes it's a casual 'How's it going?', or an excited 'Dude did you know that ____?', or an angry "Bro where are you I've been waiting forever.'. Since my audience was typically my friends and family my tone was very laid back and easy-going. There was no need to be formal because I wasn't trying to impress anyone. My attitude varied with every conversation, for the first example I was curious, second example I was eager, and the third I was a little pissed off.
